Weraroa x subaeruginascens is the hybridization of two Psilocybe species. Both species are closely related and both are native to Australia and New Zealand. This hybrid grows on woodchips and debris in the early winter and spring months. The fruits have delicate stipes and caps which range from tan to grey.
