It is often referred to as the Flying Saucer Mushroom or Blue Angel. This mushroom prefers the coastal dune environments of North America and grows on rotting wood. The cap of P. azurescens is caramel-colored, wide, and saucer-like, with a distinctive nipple-like protrusion at the top.
